Congrats to our honors grads!

Today is OCC's Honor's Convocation, one of the year's academic highlights and an opportunity for the college's top students to be recognized.

The first 'unified' convocation is at 2 p.m. at the Orchard Ridge Campus in Farmington Hills.  In the past, honors convocations were held on each campus.

OCC will be recognizing 193 Summa Cum Laude, 296 Magna Cum Laude and 240 Cum Laude honors students from among the 2,900-member graduating class.

The keynote speaker is Maureen Donohue Krauss, Vice President of Economic Development and Business Attraction for the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Krauss joined Oakland County Government in 1998 as a business development representative.  She was Deputy Director of the County’s Department of Economic Development and Community Affairs from 2005 to 2009 and she served as Director from 2009 to 2011. Krauss joined the Oakland Community College Foundation Board of Directors in 2012, and is an active member of the German-American, French-American and Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce, as well as the Italian-American Alliance for Business and Technology and the British-American Business Council.

Congrats to our honors graduates!
