OCC Celebrates Women's History Month

The OCC Womencenter and libraries invite the college community to celebrate Women’s History Month through the recognition of women who made significant contributions to our world. Links to the Women’s History Month blog are located on the Womencenter and Libraries websites.

Contributors may use the online submission form on the blog to nominate a worthy woman. The form asks for a brief description of the contributions of the woman being nominated and the option to make suggestions for further reading.

All members of the OCC community – students, faculty, and staff – are encouraged to participate. Submitted nominations may cover the range from local to global, and include individuals from any time period. A group representing the Womencenter and libraries will review the nominations and post them in the Women’s History Blog.

Please check out the blog and consider submitting a nomination recognizing an extraordinary woman who has made our world a better place through her contributions as an educator, scientist, head of state, politician, environmentalist, civil rights advocate, or in some other significant way.
