The Campus Work Connection Team of Oakland Community College’s (OCC) Economic and Workforce Development is partnering with OCC Student LIFE, to present a Speed Networking Event for OCC students Thursday, April 11 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Orchard Ridge Campus, Room J306 (J Building).
This Free event will offer students a great opportunity to meet and network with employers and industry experts. Fifteen to 20 different representatives from various companies and organizations will be on hand representing staffing agencies, customer service, health care, law enforcement, IT, business and engineering fields.
Students should wear professional business attire, bring resumes, and be prepared to market their talents, skills, and how they can contribute towards a company.
A free workshop, facilitated by Michigan Works! will be offered Thursday, April 4, 10 am to 12 pm to assist students in preparing and delivering their 30-second “elevator speech” for the Speed Networking event being hosted April 11. This workshop will also be at the Orchard Ridge Campus, Room J292 (J Building).
